About these tools
Most online image tools upload your photo to a server, process it there and hand you a link. These do not: they use the browser's Canvas API, so the file never leaves your device. That matters for anything personal — documents, screenshots of private data, family photos.
It also makes them fast. There is no upload and no download round-trip, so a large photo is resized or compressed in the time it takes to read it from disk. The trade-off is that very large batches depend on your own machine's memory.
Frequently asked questions
Are my photos uploaded to a server?
No. All three tools process the image locally in your browser and never transmit it.
Will compression ruin the quality?
You control the quality level. The compressor shows the resulting file size so you can find the point where the difference stops being visible.
Why convert HEIC to JPG?
HEIC is the default format on iPhones and is not supported by many websites, Windows apps and older software. JPG is universally readable.
