How the text comparator works
This tool compares text A (the base) against each of the other texts, word by word, directly in your browser — nothing is sent to any server. Added words are highlighted in green and removed words appear in red with a strikethrough.
Use the + and − buttons to show between 2 and 4 text panels at once, which is handy for comparing multiple drafts, translations or versions of the same document against a single reference text.

How does the comparator decide what changed?
It uses a word-by-word comparison against text A. Words that match stay unhighlighted, new words are marked as added, and missing words are marked as removed.
Can I compare more than 2 texts at once?
Yes. Use the + button above the text panels to add up to 4 texts; each one is compared individually against text A.
Is my text uploaded anywhere?
No. All comparisons run locally in your browser, so your texts are never transmitted or stored on a server.
What does the similarity percentage mean?
It's the proportion of matching words between the two texts being compared — 100% means they're identical, and lower values mean more differences.
